How to Use

Massage a small amount into clean, dry skin. Use daily for eczema and irritation or as needed for dry or compromised skin.

What makes Honeyshine different: Each batch is made with whole flowers, hand-infused for weeks for full calendula strength — never diluted.

Storage, Shelf Life & What to Expect

Does the salve need to be refrigerated?
No. Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. A cool, consistent spot — like a bathroom cabinet or bedside drawer — works well.

How long does it last?
Best used within 12 months of purchase.

Why does my salve look grainy or melted?
Botanical salves are sensitive to temperature changes. If yours softened in the heat and then cooled, you may notice a slightly grainy or uneven texture — this is normal separation, not spoilage. The salve is still safe to use.

How do I know if it has gone off?
Trust your nose. A rancid, sharp, or distinctly "off" smell is the clearest sign the oils have oxidized and the salve should be discarded. Slight mellowing of the herbal scent over time is normal.

Tips to extend shelf life

  • Use clean, dry hands or a small spatula to scoop — water in the jar speeds up oxidation
  • Keep the lid tightly closed when not in use
  • Avoid leaving the jar in a hot car or direct sunlight
